Recovery
Discomfort is unusual. Vision ordinarily
is quite good the first morning after surgery but may fluctuate
for several weeks. Protection of the operated eye(s) is important:
do not rub the eyes for two weeks and wear a protective shield when
sleeping for two weeks. Eyedrop medications are used for two weeks.
Glasses, if necessary for reading are prescribed in two weeks. Retreatment
(or enhancement) is necessary in about 5% of all cases.
